Trekking in the Atlas mountains

01 Day trek in high Atlas Mountains (Full day):
Meet your guide and driver in the hotel and head south from Marrakech towards the foothills of Atlas Mountains .Stop in the village of Aguersioual (1600m) where you meet your team, cook and muleteers. Start the trek on a mule path to the pass of Aguersioual (2100m) and downhill to Imnane valley for a picnic lunch by the stream. In the afternoon, climb to Tamaterte pass (2300m) to join Imlil valley (1700m) and drive back to Marrakech.

02 Days trek in high Atlas Mountains (Moderate):
Day 01: Meet your guide and driver in the hotel and head south from Marrakech towards the foothills of Atlas Mountains .Stop in the village of Aguersioual (1500m) where you meet your team, cook and muleteers. Start walking gradually up to the pass of Oudite (2100m) where you stop for a picnic lunch. Carry on trekking through remote berber village of Tizi Oussem (1800m) .Dinner and overnight in camp by the river.

Day 02: This morning, you go through Tizi Oussem and start climbing through juniper forest to the Mzik pass (2500m) where you have dramatic views of the atlas peaks. You head downhill to Berdoun (2300m) and then to the village of Armed (2000m) for a picnic lunch under the shade of walnut trees. In the afternoon, you head downhill to Imlil(1700m) to meet your driver and transfer back to Marrakech.

03 Days trek in high Atlas Mountains (Toubkal Ascent):
Day01: Meet your guide and the driver in the hotel and head south to atlas foothills .Stop in the village of Imlil(1700m) where you meet your team of muleteers and the cook . Start your trek on a mule path to Imouzer waterfalls (2700m) where you stop for a picnic lunch by the stream. In the afternoon, you carry on your walk along the river to your camp by Neltner refuge (3200m).Dinner and overnight in camp.

Day02: An early wake up for breakfast and walk above the refuge to join the path in the big ravine .Then you climb gradually up to the pass of Toubkal (4000m) and from there you walk below the ridge to the peak of Toubkal (4167m), the highest in north Africa. Enjoy the spectacular views of the high atlas mountains and the valleys around .Stop for a little snack on the top before you head down the same route to campsite for a deserved hot meal. Walk down along the stream to the remote village of Armed (2000m) afterwards.Dinner and overnight in a gîte.

Day03: A late breakfast and head down the valley to the village of Imlil where you meet your driver and transfer back to Marrakech .Dinner and overnight in hotel.

05 Days trek in high Atlas Mountains (demanding):
Day01: Meet your guide and driver and head south from Marrakech to atlas mountains. Stop in the village of Wirgane (900m) where you meet your team of muleteers and the cook .You start your trek on a flat terrain through pines to the village of Tassa Wirgane (1200m).Stop by the stream for picnic lunch before you continue along Azadene river to Tiziane (1600m) for camp.

Day02: You walk along the river to join a path to Id Issa (1700m) and then through the remote village of Tizi Oussem (1850m).You carry on your walk along the river to Ighoulidene waterfalls and then on zigzagging path to Lepiney refuge(3000m) for a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, you continue climbing to your camp in Talat N Izgaren(3200m) at the foot of the pass .

Day03:Today you gradually climb up to the pass of Aguelzim(3700m) where you have dramatic views of the atlas mountains and the valleys at the bottom before you cross the ridge to the main path descending to Neltner refuge(3200m).Picnic lunch in camp . An optional walk to Wagane valley above the refuge and back to dinner and overnight in camp.
